Behind the Scenes Story:
After our very first shoot, we got a call back from Tutu’s PA telling us that YES, he Would Jump! Our initial ideas were of him wearing his robe, jumping in front of a cathedral, but we were willing to… do whatever he desired! His request was to jump in his boardroom with some children from the charity we are working with.The shoot was very quick, (so quick in fact, that my photographer almost missed the shoot! She was in the bathroom when all the jumpers initially got on the bed, & when she came back out she kindly had to ask them to get back up & keep on jumping!). As you can imagine his calendar is booked for months in advance, and each half-an-hour segment of his life is incredibly valuable. He had also recently hurt his back, so we didn’t want to wear him out! So – we simply put the camera on shutter-speed & hoped for the best!
